Cirebon's Food

Hello peeps!!!! well, for long time break, now I got a chance to write something in my blog (not alive blog) hehehe... yeahh why I called it's not alive blog because it isn't really active. I'm not really active to write or post things in my blog. This chance I'm going to write about Inonesia's things but especially Cirebon's food to fulfill my 6th Mid-term Test. Well, you know Indonesia is multiculturalism country, which means it has a lot of kind of tribes, customs, languages, natures, and foods, etc. Indonesia is rich country in the world. Maybe you wonder why I choose Cirebon's foods, why don't about the other atractive things?!! Well, peeps, as i explained before this post about first is to fulfill my Mid-term Test, second is my mom is came from Cirebon also my father has been lived in Cirebon when he was kid but actually my father was born in Jakarta. That's why I choose Cirebon especially Cirebon's foods, because they are really tasty, unique, and so traditional. So, I will inform you some of Cirebon's foods which you must try If you go to this place according to me. Here are some of Cirebon's food, check it out ..................................................................

1. Nasi Jamblang


Nasi Jamblang comes from the name of the area in the west of the city of Cirebon. The common people call it Sega Jamblang, this food is made using teak leaves as a pack of rice presented in a buffet. The menu is in the rice jamblang include sambal goreng, tofu vegetables, lungs, liver stews, meat, cakes, satai potatoes, omelet, fried eggs, sambal, fried egg, fish stew, salted fish, tofu and Tempe.

This food is actually destined for forced laborers Daendels highway construction from Anyer to Panarukan passing through Cirebon region. In order for his rice still pulen jamblang rice wrapped in teak leaves. Teak leaf itself has pores that help maintain the quality of the rice to be durable.

2. Nasi Lengko

Nasi :Lengko is very popular, so the popularity of this rice you can find it in various places in the city of Cirebon. Well, to make it very simple enough to add ingredients such as white rice, tofu, tempeh, cucumber, sprouts and chives (celery) after that then sprinkled with fried onions and sprinkled with peanut sauce and soy sauce. if you add crackers or chips it will be  tastier.

3. Empal Gentong 

Empal Gentong Cirebon is a beef curry cooked in a wooden tree barrel for about five hours. This is done so that the taste of beef becomes sticky and soft. Empal is better served with lontong. In ancient times, to make the empal gentong use buffalo meat.

4. Docang  



This food is consisting of cassava leaves, lontong, crackers, sprouts and tempe gembos.
Of course culinary tourism of Cirebon this one must be given grated young coconut on it. Usually culinary in cirebon Docang is served in the morning or more precisely as food for breakfast.

Docang is Cirebon's favorite breakfast menu and Docang Ibu Kapsa is the most appropriate place to taste the pleasure. Siliwangi street sales by using a simple tent, this place is very striking because it is almost never empty of visitors. From 6 am to 10 am hundreds of people alternately fill several tables and chairs available. Likewise when I arrived there are dozens of people who are sitting greedily enjoying Docang. While some others including me had to wait a long wait for an empty chair.



5. Mie Koclok


This one noodle is very unique and slightly different from ordinary noodles, because Cirebon is famous for processed spices are very rich. But if you see the ingredients as usual, because it is processed noodles koclok Cirebon uses egg noodles and then combined suiran meat, cabbage, and bean sprouts as a complement to the delicious.

Well, that some kind of foods are very delicious according to me and I'm sure if you try you mant more over and over again.
